4 players who have played all 14 IPL seasons but haven’t won a single trophy

The The Indian Premier League is the largest T20 league in the world. It is every budding cricketer’s dream to play the IPL once. However, not all players were able to make his dream come true. Only players who impressed Indian Premier League franchises with their cricket skills have earned a cash-rich league contract.

While some great players have never played in the Indian Premier League, some players have been featured in all 14 editions of the tournament so far. Players like Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni played in every Indian Premier League from 2008-2021. They also won many trophies, but the following 4-star players did not win an Indian Premier League title despite being part of the tournament overall 14 seasons play so far.

1. Virat Kohli – Top scorer in IPL

Virat Kohli was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore XI in their first IPL match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. He played all seasons for RCB in the tournament and scored 6,283 points. However, his franchise was never able to become the champion of the competition.

2. AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers, nicknamed Mr. 360, has played for two franchises in the league’s history. He first played for Delhi Capitals and then joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Neither DC nor RCB have won a trophy to date.

3. Amit Mishra – Most successful Indian bowler in IPL history

It is somewhat surprising to note the fact that the highest run score and highest wicket among the Indians in the league have never been champions. Amit Mishra is just behind Lasith Malinga on IPL Most Wickets all-time list. Mishra is currently with DC in the IPL. His former teams Deccan Chargers and Sunrisers Hyderabad were IPL champions but not when Mishra was on the team.

4. Ajinkya Rahane

Indian Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane played for Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Rising Pune Supergiant and Delhi Capitals in IPL. It has marked multiple IPL centuries but has never won the IPL trophy.
