5 Indian players you may not know once they played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League

The demand for cricketers has recently increased around the world due to the increase in the number of leagues. Previously, national cricket and international cricket were the main arenas for players. However, recently, some cricketers have even given league cricket priority over international cricket and national matches.

One of the most popular tournaments in the world right now is the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The 2021/22 edition of the tournament started on November 19th. There are five Indian players, namely Abhimanyu Mithun, Yo Mahesh, Yusuf Pathan, Kaunain Abbas, and Munaf Patel who will play in the Abu Dhabi T10 League this year, but in today’s article, we will look at those five Indian players who may not remember a time they played in the tournament.

Former Indian T20I captain Virender Sehwag was the first Indian cricketer to play in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. He played two games for Maratha Arabians in the first season but failed to score any points.

2. Subramaniam Badrinath

Former Indian batter Subramaniam Badrinath played for the Maratha Arabians in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2018. The right hitter only played for the team as he didn’t have a chance to bat or pitch in three games.

3. Reetinder Singh Sodhi

Former Indian all-rounder Reetinder Singh Sodhi secured a contract from the Kerala Knights in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2018. Sodhi played three games for the team, but could neither take a single wicket nor score a single point.

4. Praveen Kumar

Former Indian fast pitcher Praveen Kumar made his Abu Dhabi T10 League debut in 2018 for the Punjabi Legends team. Kumar played three games and won six wickets, but his economy rate was more than ten points per over.

5. RP Singh

Another former Indian fast pitcher to appear on this list is Rudra Pratap Singh. He was an important member of the Indian team that won the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup. After retiring from international cricket, Singh presented himself for the Pakhtoons in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T10 League. He played five games and collected three wickets with a strike rate of 16.
