In the beginning it was a master class inning of the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, who scored 85 points to lead New Zealand to create a combat goal for the Australians. But it was all too easy for the Aussies as David Warner and Mitchell Marsh showed their club class with 53 points and 77 non-innings respectively.

Handyman: Moeen Ali, David Wiese

The 2 All-Rounders on his team are England’s Moeen Ali and Namibian David Wiese, who previously played international cricket for South Africa.

Moeen Ali was one of the protagonists of England. He didn’t have much of a chance with the bat, but he still scored 92 points and collected 7 wickets. On the other hand, David Wiese was the best player for Namibia, in their debut campaign in the T20 World Cup. Wiese scored 227 points with a strike rate of 127. He also bagged 6 wickets.

Players: Adam Zampa, Trent Boult, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Milne

The bowling formation of Aakash Chopra’s team consists of 2 Australians, 1 New Zealander and 1 South African player.

Adam Zampa is the only leg-spin bowler on his team. Zampa was good enough for the Australian team. Zampa took second highest place, 13 wickets out of 7 games, behind only Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.

Trent Boult is the first of the fast trio. Trent Boult was as lethal as the fans had hoped. Boult also finished second on the most wicket-taker list, alongside Adam Zampa, with 13 wickets.

Josh Hazlewood’s line and length as always was great in the competition. He got 11 wickets from 7 games. Anrich Nortje joined Chopra’s team as a third fast pitcher. Nortje was good enough for South Africa thanks to his cutting pace. He managed to collect 9 wickets from 5 games.
