Eoin Morgan becomes the most successful T20I captain, overtakes MS Dhoni and Asghar Afghan

England cricket team captain Eoin Morgan has now overtaken former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and former Afghan skipper Asghar Afghan as the most successful captain in T20 international cricket.

Eoin Morgan achieved the feat in the recently concluded match between England and Sri Lanka in the 2021 T20 World Cup, where England recorded 26 points over the Lanka team.

England captain Eoin Morgan now leads the table with 43 wins to his name as captain of the England cricket team, while MS Dhoni and Asghar Afghan are in second place with 42 wins each.

Eoin Morgan has been an instrumental leader for the England cricket team, leading them to their first Cricket World Cup in 2019 at their home ground and has now also reached the semi-finals of the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Let’s talk about the England-Sri Lanka match. England recorded a 26-point win over the Lankans. Jos Buttler beat 101 run not out with 6 fours and 6 sixes. Eoin Morgan also contributed 40 club runs. Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan became heroes with the ball with 2 wickets each.
